Mooresville, NC (February 25th, 2013) - Thirteen-year-old Brayton Haws already claimed the 2013 US Legends Car Young Lions Winter Heat Series Championship in January and now has added another championship to his trophy case. After heading south to compete at Auburndale Speedway's 2013 Winter Nationals, Haws went on a winning streak and was unstoppable on his quest to earn his second championship of the year.

Prior to the start of the Winter Nationals, Haws raced in the Saturday Big Money race where he experienced motor issues while battling for the lead. That didn't deter him, he finished third on Monday, and then went on a winning streak, going to victory lane in the next four races. His strong run during the five-race series secured him as the championship and his second title in the first-two months of 2013.

“We were all so excited to win the Winter Nationals at Auburndale Speedway,” Haws said. “It took some time to get there, with a motor change early in the week, but the Steven Ross Motorsports team kept digging, and we got where we needed to be. I appreciate the support of Steven Ross, my parents, Ted Millard and my manager Mike Calinoff.”

Haws, under the guidance of NASCAR spotter Mike Calinoff and Mike Calinoff Management, is gearing up for a full season of racing in the INEX Young Lions Division with some Late Model races to be added to the schedule.
